“If Light is in your heart, you will find your way home.” ~ Rumi
Feeling lost in the world,
I leave my phone behind
and head for the woods.
Sheltered in a landscape
where no one can reach me,
I sit upon a fallen trunk,
sinking down, soul to soil,
on reddish-brown leaves.
As the weight of my heart
draws the Goddess Ma’at,
I pick up a white feather
and fear its consequences.
Here on the long nights of the year,
in the darkest hours of mid-winter,
I call upon those wise, loving ones,
those radiant, bright elevated souls
whose names are beyond my reach.
Those who are well in spirit, come
and shine your healing light of love
all the way down my ancestral line.
Far past the ruinous family shadow
of madness, violence and addiction,
towards my true ancestral blessings
of creativity, healing and devotion.
After wandering through moonlight,
the poet is born-again under the sun.
Finally the path ahead becomes clear,
garlanded with beautiful sunflowers.
By shining love and light onto words,
joy and happiness become her future
as she finds the courage to be herself.
Success and fluency her just rewards.
“When they ask me what I liked best,
I’ll tell them it was you.”
~ City of Angels ~
Draw a star around us my love,
on this day of cherish where a year ago,
deep from a dream,
you washed me clean with vows of love.
Drink full my passion, quench each
word I wrap for you here in stardust.
Glittering, sparkling drops of dust,
which shine like a thousand suns
into my never-ending desire for you.
Let the arrow of love strike
at the heart of us,
as we walk this world back to Love.
