Welcome to the second part of my Journey of Love: The Way of the Dream. For ease of reference I will republish both dreams, however, if you would like to look back over the first part of this article, here’s the link: The Way of the Dream – Part One. In this section I will be exploring each dream in further detail, bringing to light their guiding themes before exploring how, despite being decades apart, both dreams are deeply connected. First, let us return to my recurring childhood dream. Even though there are a number of symbols within each dream I’ve decided to explore the three central images, which for me are the Dragonfly, the Dark Woods and the game of Hide-and-Seek. In the second dream I shall consider the symbolism of Birth, the Goddess Lakshmi and the Queen of Heaven before exploring the powerful connections between both dreams.
“When they ask me what I liked best,
I’ll tell them it was you.”
~ City of Angels ~
Draw a star around us my love,
on this day of cherish where a year ago,
deep from a dream,
you washed me clean with vows of love.
Drink full my passion, quench each
word I wrap for you here in stardust.
Glittering, sparkling drops of dust,
which shine like a thousand suns
into my never-ending desire for you.
Let the arrow of love strike
at the heart of us,
as we walk this world back to Love.
Between you and I
Is the Gate
Winter’s shivery doorway
A numbed wall of silence
Obstructed with evasive answers
Strengthened by the Season’s backbone
This glacial blocked channel
Is the obstacle of my communication
I stand at my own frontier
Barred entrance to you Mother
A raw crisp life
Icy barriers down forever
I weep weathering my love
It was not the flock of stars
in her eyes, falling from the sky,
resting upon the sea that led me.
It was not her voice pure as prayer,
a mist embracing, caressing,
dancing slowly that delivered me.
It was not her smile that drifted
silently across my spirit, the fire
of a new star sparkling that carried me.
